Have you completed your orders in BackerKit?
If you ordered a Commodore or any pledge tier or add-on featuring Battlestations Second Edition and/or the 300 page Advanced Rulebook, those will go out starting tomorrow and continuing next week - along with the novel, the sets of miniatures, and all items that are not part of the The Starships pack.
We're currently modifying the starships miniatures to make them more perfect, and working with an artist to get the Planetoid and Fighter ready for takeoff.

Please check your email for BackerKit and sign in to your custom link. You'll be able to set up your card for shipping, as well as your address.
Message me first on Kickstarter before getting mad in the Comments - in some cases I may simply have made an error. More likely, it is just expensive to ship big heavy games. Sorry! It will be worth it.
If you are angry or confused about anything, please reach out first. Joey and I are working hard to get it all done and we've tried to communicate well but sometimes we miss things or make mistakes. So message us on Kickstarter if you need to. Refunds don't usually satisfy anyone, and that will be a last resort since so many fees have already been taken out by Kickstarter, Stripe (payment processor), and BackerKit.

Hi all!
We created a brand new Battlestations server on Discord! You'll be able to chat about Battlestations, ask and answer rules questions in realtime, post session reports, and meet new friends. It is totally FREE!
Just download the app on your phone, or sign in using your computer. The best feature is that you can change notifications to only occur during certain hours. I (Jeff) will also be active on the server (or at minimum will receive notifications from direct messages and people who tag me). Please join! Our goal is to get 100 signups by the end of the year. Give it a shot!
We're launching BackerKit (a pledge manager) to handle shipping costs and any add-ons you want. This will launch THURSDAY! Watch for the email invite from BackerKit.
Once you've filled out your BackerKit survey, expect a 5 or 6 month delay before we ship the Starships components. However, we will be shipping Battlestations and the Advanced Rulebooks next week.
The Starships and the Starships double packs will be shipped domestically for a great price (under $3). Shipping worldwide for the Starships will be reasonable (usually $6 to $8).
Unfortunately, the Commodore tier (the game and book) is incredibly heavy and expensive to ship. We've subsidized some of the shipping costs, and it should be under $20 to many countries. European Union countries, especially Western Europe, are unfortunately more.
We'll pay import duties for international shipping (which are sometimes as high as 12%).
Value-Added Tax is a 20% to 25% additional fee EU countries add to products (this is usually instead of the sales-tax countries like the USA use). There is not much we can do to combat these fees - the governments are very strict. We've decided to subsidize the VAT fees, so even if you purchase a $150 pledge, you'll only be paying about half the VAT.
If you are an EU backer, we'll have moved you to a new tier specifically for EU backers. Add-Ons for games, books, and starships will have part of the VAT fee clearly added on top of the price. We're so sorry about these costs for EU backers, but it's just the reality of working as a game publisher with international customers.
If you are unhappy about fees or shipping costs, message us via Kickstarter and we'll try to make it right. Our refund policy generally only covers customers with unusually high or unexpected shipping costs. Please keep in mind that Kickstarter, Stripe, and BackerKit have already taken more than 10% out of your pledges.

Jeff is going to host a online Battlestations mission EVERY WEEK using Tabletop Simulator! Backers will get first priority at getting a slot. You'll need Steam (free) and TTS (about $20 for a million billion games). The games will happen probably every Thursday night PST, but times may vary. Lurkers and non-players will also be invited to watch the livestream once we partner with someone who streams who can set that up. In theory we'll start next Thursday the 17th.
Here's a video example of what Battlestations will look like (we've since updated many of the components).
To sign up, go here and fill out the form. We can probably only handle 4-5 players per session until we sort out technical issues, but go ahead and put your name down even if the sheet is full. Eventually we can get other groups using Tabletop Simulator to host games for the group as well. Jeff will reach out to you to get you scheduled for a session. We'll likely start the first couple Thursdays with missions for players who are pretty new, but we'll see what the demand is. Eventually we'll have a better system than this makeshift signup sheet.
We will also likely be starting a Slack or Discord channel to stay in touch with gamers for the Thursday Battlestations nights. Do you guys use Slack or Discord?
